Description: Oval Serving Dishes are sometimes confused with Oval Platters. The major difference of these oval dishes is that they are proportionally deeper than oval platters of the same size. Otherwise, they are virtually the same. Their major use was to serve food such as potatoes and vegetables. They are attractive with their full Canton scene and rain cloud borders. They have unglazed bottoms and they do not have decoration on the undersides. Note: as the sizes of the dishes increases so does their value.
