Description: Dinner plates in perfect condition are fairly scarce. They range in diameter from 9 3/4″ to 10 1/4″ and are 7/8″ to 1 3/8″ deep. If they are deeper we consider them soup bowls. The 3 dinner plates pictured are a representative sample. On the left is a 10 1/4″ diameter plate x 1″ deep, in the middle is a 10″ x 1 1/8″ deep plate, and on the right is a 9 3/4″ x 1 1/4″ example. These dinner plates were picked for their slightly different decorative styles. All of these dinner plates have glazed bottoms, rain cloud borders and are heavier and sturdier than late, lighter weight rain cloud border plates and those with straight-line borders.
